It's at least eighty degrees in the house, which is above the optimum temperature of serving red wine, which is around 63 degrees Farenheit (yes, the fan is blowing but I've gotta somehow install central air in this old rowhouse next year). Funnier still is that this wine has a label that shows a blue outline when it is in the temperature; I will have to put it in the fridge to test it.

I had this with an interesting garlic steak, and it proved a great companion! This wine has both all of the pleasure derived from the tastes of berries and dark plums from the Cabernet Sauvignon, but also has the dry aspects of the Tempranillo varietal. The body is middle of the road/scale, and the finish is a dry that lasts for at least ten seconds.

This wine reminds me of the Sour Patch kid commercials where the bear cuts off the girls hair, then apologizes and hugs her. This is not the first blend of these two grapes that I have had, but as of yet, it's the most interesting.

This wine would be great with any grilled meats or any red meats, but it would be great with either game or spicy wings. Try this with anything spicy at all, especially Asian cuisine.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
